Talk with Mones includes interviews with team members and advisors of Mones in which we transparently share the vision, plan and thoughts about Mones with the community.
In this article, we will speak with Justin, Mones’ CEO.
Justin is an outstanding young leader who has devoted a decade of tireless efforts to promote the tech startup ecosystem in the Asian market.
Please introduce yourself and your role in the Mones project!
My name is Justin, and I am the CEO of Mones. I’ve been promoting startups and assisting in the growth of the tech ecosystem for the past 9 years. Prior to launching Mones, I was the CEO and a founding team member at Luzo Technologies Vietnam, a outsourcing firm for potential markets such as Vietnam, Malaysia, Japan, Australia, and the United States founded in 2017. Prior to that, in 2016, I worked as a Technical Evangelist at Microsoft and in 2017, I worked as a Technical Specialist at Microsoft Philanthropies Vietnam. In 2017, UNDP, UNV Asia & Pacific also recognized me as a global citizen.
How do you evaluate the current NFT gaming market?
I see a lot of changes and transformations in the current NFT Gaming market, which forces new generation game projects to adapt in order to survive and develop.
To begin, users require a really good NFT game product with beautiful graphics, which is both entertaining and tactical like traditional games, with the play to earn NFT game characteristics.

Secondly, it is important for new generation game projects to launch the game early to win the trust of users.
In addition, another inevitable trend is that games need to promote social features and guilds. Even Candy Crush Saga now includes guilds. Mobile gamers enjoy showing off their achievements, competing with friends, being challenged, and feeling like they are a part of a community. Therefore, I predict social features will be the new trend of NFT gaming in 2022 and 2023.
What opportunities and challenges are there for Mones?
Mones has a huge opportunity to become a pioneer icon for the 3rd generation of GameFi. Mones owns a system of more than 200 impressive, beautiful 3D characters. The gameplay is highly tactical, requiring users to invest a lot of brainpower. Despite being a highly tactical game, Mones provides a welcoming gaming environment for new and inexperienced players.
Mones also has social features and in-game guilds, as well as esport tournaments that support gamers and game guilds, attracting users to access Mones.
Finally, Mones gives priority to users to experience the product and launch the game before releasing the token. This contributes to the project’s user and investor trust.
In terms of challenges, I think Mones will face challenges in building a community of users. Because Mones is inherently a game genre for mid-hardcore users, users who are new to it or have only played casual games may believe it is difficult to approach. Mones must take proactive steps to train and guide users from the start so that they have the best possible experience when entering the game.
Another challenge for Mones is establishing user trust in financial transparency. Because Mones has not issued a token, the construction and allocation of cash flows in the treasury fund as user rewards requires balance and transparency as well.
What is your vision for Mones?
As the CEO of Mones, I personally see Mones as a project with enormous potential and all of the elements necessary to usher in a new era in the Gamefi market.
Keep it simple, Mones is a traditional game with NFT and play-to-earn elements. When users play Mones, they are relaxed and entertained, and they stay with the game because it is good. They also have the opportunity to make real profits from Mones through the NFT mechanism and reward tokens. It is critical that users remember Mones because it is a strategy game with appealing gameplay and an excellent game experience. If it’s a game, it has to be good first, or it will struggle to survive in today’s market.
When the product quality, the number of active users, and the product’s traction are all high enough, I believe Mones will be able to reach tier-1 VCs and take a media leap to become viral.
What do you think will make Mones successful?
The Mones development team, I believe, has the potential to make Mones a success. Mones has a high-performing team that is well-versed in the market. Members of the Mones team all have strong backgrounds, having previously developed and invested in gamefi projects, and they truly understand what the market, users, and investors are looking for. All this makes me confident in the Mones team that will make a new turning point for the Gamefi market.
What obstacles does the team need to overcome?
We recognize that our team is currently facing three major challenges.
First and foremost, it is about balancing the game economy and avoiding inflation. We are achieving this through the player-driven economy model.
